STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-4900 The traffic route provided for the VSP shall be a multicast route including the

NCC downlink and the downlinks destination of the video. Therefore the

multicast route will cover at least two downlinks. There is only one case

where the route does not need to include the NCC downlink:

 The VSP_PID assigned to the VSP is zero (this means that the VSP is

going to send directly the tables of category 3).

 There is only one VSP serving those downlinks.

 The VSP only sends the tables to those downlinks.

 No remote management through the NCC is needed (the SNMP responses

will never arrive to the NCC).

NA Syncs and traffic use the same route, so

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-4910 The NCC shall assign the CRA_sig of the SP RCST in the same channel

than the traffic. The NCC will only use one channel for the assignment of

capacity.

STLF-NA-TRD-REQ-4930 SatLife system shall be configured with a traffic route per SP RCST (used

only by the VSN of the SP). The type of the route may depend on the

timeslots available. They shall be selected following the order:

 Bursts with 4 MPEG2 packets in C2, C3 (minimum recommended) and C4.

 Bursts with 24 MPEG2 packets in C3 and C4.

 Bursts with 1 MPEG2 packet may be considered because it is the most

efficient when the control and management route is not shared between

VSNs in C2, C3 and C4.

(Note that C1 is not allowed in this configuration because the signaling bursts

would introduce too much jitter between PCR packets of the program and in

the video stream itself)
